Frequently Asked Questions

Five cartridges, ten machine models — why does one shared cartridge simplify a supply shelf?

Because every imageRUNNER in this line — the 2230, 2270, 2770, 2830, 2870, 3025, 3025N, 3030, 3225 and 3230 — draws the same GPR-15 cartridge (part number 9629A003AA). A site running three or four of those models holds one toner stock instead of three or four, reorders one part number, and never finds the wrong cartridge bought for the machine that just ran dry. This 5-pack is that shared stock in a single box.

What does the pack do to the per-cartridge price?

Five singles at $70.59 would cost $352.95. This pack is $278.96 — saving $73.99 — which brings each cartridge down to $55.79 and the running cost to about 0.27 cents per page across the pack's 105,000 pages, against roughly 0.34 cents buying singly.

What does 105,000 pages look like as a planning horizon?

On one departmental machine at 4,000 pages a month, it is a little over two years of toner. Across a three-machine fleet sharing the stock, it is closer to a year — which is how most buyers use it: an annual toner line, bought once, drawn down as meters demand, with no mid-year emergency orders at single-cartridge prices.

Who should not buy the 5-pack?

Anyone whose machine is leaving. If your one imageRUNNER 2830 is being replaced by a different model line this year, five GPR-15 cartridges (9629A003AA) can outlive the machine they were bought for, and singles are the safer pattern until the replacement settles. The pack rewards a fleet that is staying, not one in transition.

How should the stock be rotated?

Mark the arrival date on the box, keep the cartridges sealed and flat in a cool dry store, and issue them oldest-first as machines call for toner. A gentle side-to-side rock before fitting settles the toner for even first copies. Rotation matters more at five cartridges than at two — the last unit out of the box may have waited a year.

What backing comes with a fleet purchase?

Each cartridge carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns individually, exactly as if bought singly, with the terms on our shipping and returns page. Orders ship from our warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California, and support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
