Frequently Asked Questions

What does the maths look like on four drums?

Four singles would cost $127.28. This pack is $71.82, which is $17.96 per drum and a saving of $55.46. Each drum is rated for up to 12,000 pages, so the pack represents as much as 48,000 pages of imaging life bought at the lowest per-unit price we offer on this model.

Is a 4-pack overkill for a single printer?

For one lightly used printer, probably — a single drum can last years at low volume. The 4-pack earns its keep where several machines share the DR630, or where one workhorse printer turns a drum over quickly and downtime is not an option.

Which printers use these drums?

The DCP-L2520DW, DCP-L2540DW, HL-L2300D, HL-L2305W, HL-L2315DW, HL-L2320D, HL-L2340DW, HL-L2360DW, HL-L2380DW, MFC-L2680W, MFC-L2685DW, MFC-L2700DW, MFC-L2705DW, MFC-L2707DW and MFC-L2720DW family of Brother printers and all-in-ones, all of which take the DR630 drum with either TN630 or TN660 toner cartridges. One drum specification covers the whole fleet.

How do I avoid mixing up old and new drums in the cupboard?

Keep new drums in their sealed bags in the box, and mark empties for recycling as soon as they come out. Because drums look identical, the sealed bag is your guarantee that a unit is unused — never store an opened spare loose.

Will the price per page of my printing drop with this pack?

The drum's contribution to running cost falls as its price falls: at $17.96 across 12,000 pages, the drum adds roughly 0.15 cents per page, versus about 0.27 cents at the single-unit price — a real difference at fleet volumes.

What if I need to return part of the pack?

Our shipping and returns policy sets out the 1-year free returns and 1-year warranty terms, and they apply per unit, so a problem with one drum does not affect your cover on the rest.
