Frequently Asked Questions

Our 7428 FLX is under a maintenance agreement — are we allowed to buy our own toner?

That depends on the wording of your agreement, and it is worth checking the consumables clause before ordering. Many service contracts cover labor and parts while leaving toner as the customer's own purchase; others bundle supplies in. If your agreement leaves toner to you, this set is the customer-supplied option for the machine — but the contract, not this page, has the final word for your situation.

If our service provider asks what toner is installed, what do we tell them?

Give them the part numbers: black 006R01395, cyan 006R01398, magenta 006R01397 and yellow 006R01396. Those are the cartridge identities for the WorkCentre 7428 FLX, and having them on your purchase record makes any conversation with a service desk straightforward.

Does the "Premium Quality" name affect the price or the cover?

Neither. The price is the same $132.31 as the standard listing, and the cover is the same 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns. The cartridges inside are the same four numbers listed above.

What page counts does the set bring to a leased machine?

Black is rated at 25,000 pages and each of the three colors at 15,000 pages. For a machine on a multi-year agreement, that means one set typically covers a long interval of the lease, and the reorder decision can be tied to your own meter readings rather than a supplier's schedule.

Who do we contact if a cartridge from the set develops a fault?

Us, in the first instance — the warranty on the cartridges is ours, not your service provider's. Our team answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and the terms are published on our shipping and returns page. Keep the faulty cartridge until the team advises you, since it may be needed to process the claim.

Where is the set shipped from?

From one of our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, routed to suit the delivery address. Other supplies for machines across your site can be found under the Xerox brand page.

About This Xerox WorkCentre 7428 FLX Premium Quality 4 Color Set

This $132.31 set is the customer-supplied toner option for a WorkCentre 7428 FLX, including machines kept under third-party maintenance: black 006R01395 rated at 25,000 pages and cyan 006R01398, magenta 006R01397 and yellow 006R01396 rated at 15,000 pages each. It carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns from us directly, so responsibility for the cartridges stays clear regardless of who services the machine itself.
