Frequently Asked Questions

Why does a two-pack exist between the single cartridge and the five-pack?

Because it fits a common pattern: one cartridge to fit now and one spare on the shelf, without committing to a five-cartridge box. Owners who print steadily but not heavily get the never-empty security of a spare at a lower unit price than singles, and the pair still represents 3,000 pages — a long supply for a personal printer.

What do the two cartridges cost each?

The pair is $60.67, so $30.34 a cartridge against $39.58 bought singly. That trims the per-page toner cost from about 2.64 cents to roughly 2.02 cents, and buying the two together saves $18.49 against two separate single purchases.

How long will 3,000 pages last a typical owner?

At 150 pages a month, twenty months. At 300 a month, ten months. The two-pack suits printers with a steady, moderate appetite — schoolwork through the year, a home office's weekly documents — where a single cartridge disappears a little too quickly for comfort but five would sit for years.

Which printers do these cartridges fit?

Any that take the MLT-D104S: the ML-1660, ML-1661, ML-1665, ML-1667 and ML-1676 printers, the ML-1860, ML-1861, ML-1864, ML-1865W and ML-1866, and the SCX-3200, SCX-3200K and SCX-3201 multifunctions. Our Samsung toner range page lists the family in full — handy if the second cartridge ends up serving a different machine.

How should the second cartridge be kept while the first is in use?

Sealed in its packaging, flat, somewhere cool and dry indoors — a cupboard away from windows and radiators is ideal. Toner does not dry out, so a cartridge kept that way is in the same condition months later when the printer calls for it.

What cover applies to each cartridge in the pair?

Both carry a one-year warranty and free returns for a year, individually: if either unit leaks or prints badly, that cartridge alone goes back at no cost. The returns steps are on the shipping and returns page. We ship from our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, with support Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
