Frequently Asked Questions
What cartridge fits the B420DN?
The B420DN uses 43979101, 43979201 and 43979206. Swap in a fresh cartridge when prints fade or the printer reports toner out — it is a quick front-loading swap with no tools.
Does the B420DN print on both sides automatically?
The B420DN duplexes as standard: choose ‘print on both sides’ in your print dialog. For reports and drafts, it is one of the easiest ways to cut office paper use.
Why is my B420DN printing light gray instead of black?
Light or gray prints from the B420DN usually mean the toner cartridge is nearly spent. A gentle shake can buy a few more pages, but plan on replacing the 43979101, 43979201 and 43979206 soon.
