Frequently Asked Questions
How long will this set last a workgroup printing on a C9800HDN?
Each of the four cartridges is rated at up to 15,000 pages at the standard 5% coverage. A workgroup printing around 3,000 pages a month would be looking at roughly five months per cartridge position — though heavy color documents pull the three color cartridges down faster than black, so real-world timing varies by what your team actually prints.
What is the full contents list?
One black, one cyan, one magenta and one yellow cartridge, carrying the part numbers 42918901, 42918902, 42918903 and 42918904 between them. The set price is $292.17, which works out near $73.04 per cartridge.
Our C9800HDN prints double-sided all day — does that change the math?
Duplexing saves paper, not toner: a two-sided page still lays down toner on both faces. Plan consumption by printed sides rather than sheets and the 15,000-page-per-cartridge rating stays a fair guide for budgeting.
Which other printers take this same set?
Beyond the C9800HDN, the cartridge group is listed for the Oki C9600hdn, C9600hn, C9600n and C9800hdn, which makes it handy for offices running mixed fleets from this family. Always confirm with the 42918901-series numbers on your existing cartridges.
What are my options if a cartridge underperforms?
These are compatible cartridges, covered by a one-year warranty, and returns are free for a year under our shipping and returns policy. A cartridge that fades early or fails is replaced or refunded per that policy rather than argued over.
How quickly can a networked office get a replacement set?
We ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, choosing the closest stock point. Support answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if you want to confirm stock before ordering for a busy shared machine.
About This C9800HDN Four-Color Set
Shared machines eat toner on a schedule nobody controls, so the useful question is cost per month — and this set keeps it simple: four compatible cartridges (42918901, 42918902, 42918903, 42918904), 15,000 pages each, $292.17 the set. That is predictable budgeting for a C9800HDN workgroup, with a one-year warranty and free returns behind every cartridge. More family listings are on our Okidata page.
