Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly do I get when I order this C9600 set?
One box with four cartridges in it: a black, a cyan, a magenta and a yellow, built to the 42918901, 42918902, 42918903 and 42918904 cartridge family. Each cartridge is individually sealed, and each is rated at up to 15,000 pages, so a single order refreshes every toner slot in the printer at once.
How does the $292.17 price break down per cartridge?
Spread evenly across the box, the set works out to roughly $73.04 a cartridge. That average is the honest way to look at it, because the four cartridges are sold as one bundle rather than priced color by color.
Which printers does this set work with?
The family is listed for the Oki C9600hdn, C9600hn and C9600n, and also for the C9800hdn. The most reliable check is the number on the cartridge you are taking out: if it matches one of 42918901, 42918902, 42918903 or 42918904, this is the right set.
Do all four cartridges have to go in at the same time?
No. Swap only the color your C9600 is actually asking for and keep the rest sealed in the box. Plenty of owners replace the black first, since text printing drains it fastest, and fit the colors weeks or months later as each one runs down.
Will each cartridge really deliver 15,000 pages?
That figure is the standard industry rating, measured on pages with light, even coverage. A cartridge printing mostly text documents can approach it; one feeding brochures, charts and full-color pages will finish sooner, because dense color work lays down far more toner per sheet.
What backing comes with these cartridges?
They are Clever Supplies compatible cartridges, covered by a one-year warranty and one-year free returns — the details live in our shipping & returns policy. Orders leave from the closest of our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California warehouses, and support is staffed Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Central.
