Frequently Asked Questions
Honestly — who should NOT buy a 5-pack for their B420?
Anyone printing a few hundred pages a month. Five 43979101 cartridges hold 17,500 pages; at 300 pages a month that is nearly five years of stock, and toner money sitting on a shelf earns nothing. Light users are better served by a single or a smaller pack, bought fresh when needed.
And who is this pack genuinely right for?
Offices where the B420 prints daily and an empty cartridge means lost work — at 1,000-plus pages a month the pack turns over in a year and a half or less, the spares never age, and the discount is pure gain.
What is the discount, exactly?
The pack is $64.58, about $12.92 per cartridge, against $27.70 for one bought singly. Five singles total $138.50, so you save $73.92. Per page, the pack's toner costs roughly 0.37 cents against about 0.79 cents buying singly — each 3,500-page cartridge included is the full-size unit.
Will five cartridges crowd a small supply cupboard?
They are five individual boxes of a compact mono cartridge — roughly a shoebox-and-a-half of shelf space. If storage is genuinely tight, that is another honest reason to buy fewer at a time and accept the higher per-cartridge price.
Is the 43979101 the B420's cartridge?
Yes. The B420 takes the 43979101 black cartridge, and this pack is five of those, each rated at 3,500 pages. The part number is stamped on the cartridge you remove, so you can verify in ten seconds before opening the first box.
What cover do I get on a pack this size?
The same as on a single: a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns on every cartridge, detailed on our shipping and returns page. These are Clever Supplies compatibles rather than Oki originals, and if any one disappoints, reach us Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
