Frequently Asked Questions

What does the 5-pack price actually work out to per cartridge?

The pack is $53.45 for five cartridges, which breaks down to $10.69 per cartridge. Bought one at a time, the same 42103001 cartridge is $25.48 — so the pack price per cartridge is well under half the single price.

How much do I save against buying five singles?

Five singles would total $127.40. The 5-pack at $53.45 saves you $73.95, and you get the same cartridge in every box — identical 42103001 cartridges, just bought in one go instead of five separate orders.

How many pages are in the box in total?

Each cartridge is rated at up to 2,500 pages, so the pack holds up to 12,500 pages of printing. That drops the running cost to roughly 0.43 cents per page, compared with about 1.02 cents per page when you buy singles.

Do all five cartridges have to go into the same printer?

No. The 42103001 is shared across the Oki B4100, B4200, B4250, B4300, B4300n and B4350, so one pack can keep several different machines in an office supplied. Many buyers split a pack between a desk printer and a shared workgroup printer and reorder once for both.

How should I store the spare cartridges?

Leave each cartridge sealed in its packaging until the day you install it, stored flat in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use them one at a time and work through the pack in order — there is no need to open more than the one going into the printer.

Are the cartridges in a pack covered the same as a single?

Yes — every cartridge carries the same 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns as a single purchase; see our shipping & returns page for the details. If one cartridge in the pack disappoints you, get in touch Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST and we will sort it out.
