XP-630 Ink Cartridges — 410XL, All Five Positions

The XP-630 appears in Epson's own support list for the full 410 code set, standard and XL alike. We stock the XL half: T410XL020 pigment black, T410XL120 photo black and T410XL220 / T410XL320 / T410XL420 colours — pigment black and photo black at up to 500 pages each, colours at up to 650 each — the figures Epson publishes, including the photo black's 500, which some resellers inflate to 650. We print Epson's number.

The XP-630's name invites the family's classic confusion: it sits one shelf away from the neighbours: the XP-6000 and XP-6100 nearby on the shelf are 302-family printers with different cartridges, yet shares no cartridges with them. Within this printer, the subtler mistake is swapping the two blacks — document black is pigment and code 020; photo black is dye and code 120.

The same 410XL shelf serves the whole family roster — XP-530, XP-635, XP-640, XP-830 — so one cartridge list covers every model on it, and a spare bought for any of them fits the rest. The mixed ink system is the everyday point of this family: pigment black for documents that stay crisp, dye colours and photo black for photographs — one printer, two ink technologies, each in its own slot.

Which 410XL should you buy?

  • One slot ran out: replace just that cartridge — every single, both blacks and all three colours, is $13.49.
  • Full five-position reset: the Set of 5 ($59.93) replaces every slot in one box.
  • Photo-heavy shelf: the Set of 11 ($115.34) carries two blacks, three photo blacks and two of each colour.

Chip, ink and everyday use

Every cartridge carries a new compatible chip for ink-level reporting. The everyday rule on this family is the two-black split: keep the pigment document black for text and the dye photo black for photographs, and keep spares sealed until install day. If a firmware update ever precedes a recognition warning, reseat and restart first. Lifetime warranty and 1-year free returns cover every cartridge.
