Frequently Asked Questions
What does the 4-pack do to our B5465's cost per page?
It moves it from about 1.78 cents to roughly 1.55 cents. Bought one at a time, this cartridge costs $106.93 for its 6,000 rated pages; in this pack each cartridge is $93.06 for the same 6,000 pages. The cartridge does not change — the arithmetic does, because you are committing to four at once.
How much is the saving across the whole pack, in plain figures?
$55.48. Four singles at $106.93 come to $427.72; this pack is $372.24. Per cartridge the difference is $13.87. Worth having, and worth describing accurately: it is a solid pack discount, not a half-price event.
Which departments genuinely get through 24,000 pages?
Ones where the printer is infrastructure rather than furniture — billing runs, dispatch paperwork, report cycles, a busy admin hub. If your B5465's counter climbs by a few thousand pages a month, 24,000 pages is six to twelve months of ordinary work. If your counter barely moves, be honest with yourselves and buy singles; the pack rewards volume that actually exists.
Our purchasing system orders by number — is this the 331-9797?
Yes. 331-9797 is Dell's part number for this cartridge, and it is the cartridge in this pack, titled here for the B5465 printer it serves. If your purchase order carries that number, this listing satisfies it: four black cartridges, 6,000 pages each.
Are these genuine Dell cartridges in the pack?
No. They are compatible cartridges, made by a third-party manufacturer to the same specification as Dell's own. The pack stands on its stated numbers — rating, price, per-page cost — and on the warranty underneath, rather than on a Dell logo.
What cover travels with the pack?
A 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns on every cartridge, and a support team available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. The complete policy is on our shipping & returns page.
