Frequently Asked Questions

How do we turn this pack into a toner budget for our B1265?

Start from the pack size: five 331-7328 cartridges at up to 2,500 rated pages each is 12,500 pages for $117.10, which is about 0.94 cents of toner per page. Multiply your B1265's monthly page count by that figure and you have a defensible monthly toner budget — at 400 pages a month, under four dollars of toner — and you can see at a glance that the pack covers roughly thirty-one months of printing at that rate.

Five at once, or one at a time — what is the real difference?

Money and interruptions. Singly, this cartridge costs $38.21, so five separate purchases total $191.05; the pack is $117.10, a saving of $73.95, and each cartridge inside costs $23.42. The interruption saving matters as much: four of the five purchases disappear, along with four chances to find the machine empty at the wrong moment.

Is 12,500 pages a sensible amount to hold for one B1265?

For a lightly used machine, it is more than sensible — it may be more than the printer's remaining working life, and we would say so rather than oversell. For a B1265 that handles a small office's daily paperwork it is a year or two of supply, which is a reasonable horizon. The honest test is your monthly volume: below about 150 pages a month, buy smaller and more often.

Does the rating hold up on dense documents?

The 2,500-page figure is measured at the industry-standard 5% coverage. Pages heavy with graphics, shaded tables or bold fills use toner faster, so a B1265 that mostly prints forms and reports will see fewer pages per cartridge than one printing plain letters. The rating is a fair basis for comparing cartridges; your own counter tells you what your documents actually cost.

Are these genuine Dell cartridges?

No — they are compatible 331-7328 high-yield cartridges made by a third-party manufacturer to Dell's specification for the B1265 and its B1260 family siblings. The $117.10 price and the per-cartridge rating on this page describe the compatible product, not Dell-branded stock.

What stands behind the pack if something goes wrong?

A 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns on every cartridge, so a faulty unit is replaced or refunded rather than argued over. Our support team works Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, the full terms are on our shipping & returns page, and orders leave from IL, PA, GA or CA.
