Frequently Asked Questions
Our 3335DN is the busiest machine we own — is five cartridges the right stock level?
For a genuinely busy machine, five is a sensible shelf quantity. Each 330-8985 cartridge is rated at up to 14,000 pages, so the pack represents 70,000 pages. A 3335DN running 10,000 pages a month turns a cartridge over roughly every six weeks, and five on hand means toner never becomes the reason the busiest machine in the building is idle.
What does the pack bring the per-cartridge price down to?
$93.04. The 5-pack costs $465.22 against $107.84 for the same 330-8985 bought singly, so each cartridge is $14.80 cheaper and the pack saves $73.98 overall. In per-page terms the running cost drops from about 0.77 cents to about 0.66 cents.
How do we avoid the stock silently running out?
Give the pack a reorder trigger and stick to it: when the fourth cartridge is fitted, order the next pack. Busy machines burn through the last cartridge faster than anyone expects — at high volume, 14,000 pages can pass in weeks — and the trigger turns that into a routine purchase instead of a scramble.
Is this cartridge a genuine Dell product?
No. It is a compatible 330-8985, manufactured by a third party to the same specification rather than by Dell. The figures it stands on are the 14,000-page rating, the $465.22 pack price and the warranty and returns cover below.
Does heavy coverage change how long each cartridge lasts?
Yes — the 14,000-page rating is measured at standard office coverage. A machine printing dense reports, heavy fills or graphics-rich pages lays down more toner per sheet, so real-world life comes in under the rating. That is an argument for holding stock rather than against this pack: the rating is a benchmark, not a promise about your particular pages.
What cover comes with the pack?
Every cartridge is backed by a 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns, and support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. The full terms are on our shipping & returns page.
