Frequently Asked Questions

Do copies on our B1260DNF draw from the same cartridge as prints?

Yes — every page the machine produces, printed, copied or received, comes out of the one black 331-7328 cartridge. That is why multifunction machines exhaust toner sooner than their owners predict from print volumes alone: the copier traffic is invisible in the print queue but fully visible on the page counter. This 5-pack's 12,500 rated pages should be budgeted against all three jobs, not just the printing.

What is the per-cartridge and per-page math on this pack?

The pack costs $117.10 for five cartridges — $23.42 each, against $38.21 for a single — which brings toner to about 0.94 cents per rated page and saves $73.95 across the pack compared with buying the five cartridges separately. Each cartridge is rated at up to 2,500 pages at standard coverage.

Why does a multifunction machine justify keeping five on the shelf?

Because when a B1260DNF stops, three office functions stop with it — printing, copying and incoming documents all queue behind one empty cartridge. A shelf of spares turns that outage into a one-minute swap. Offices that scan and copy heavily, in particular, find their real consumption is half again what the print log suggests, and stock sized to the counter rather than the queue is stock that lasts.

How do we estimate our true monthly consumption?

Read the machine's total page counter twice, a month apart, and subtract — that figure includes copies, which no print log captures. Divide 12,500 by that monthly number and you have the pack's realistic lifespan in months. It is a two-minute exercise that replaces guesswork with a number your office manager can budget against.

Is this Dell's own toner?

No — this pack contains compatible 331-7328 cartridges, manufactured by a third party to Dell's specification for the B1260DNF and the rest of the B1260-B1265 family. Prices and page ratings quoted here belong to the compatible product.

What cover comes with the purchase?

Each cartridge carries our 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns. Support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, full terms are on our shipping & returns page, and your order ships from one of our IL, PA, GA or CA warehouses.
