Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly am I buying in this 3 pack?

Three black CF230A cartridges — HP's 30A cartridge — each rated at roughly 1,600 pages and each sealed in its own carton. It is the everyday black cartridge for compact LaserJet Pro printers such as the LaserJet M203d class, bought here as a small working stock rather than one at a time.

Why do offices keep three of these instead of ordering singles?

Because a printer that stops mid-week costs more in hassle than a cartridge costs in money. With three on hand, one is installed, one is the immediate spare, and one is the buffer that covers a busy month — you reorder on your own schedule instead of reacting to an empty printer.

How should I rotate three cartridges so none sits too long?

Write the month and year on each carton when the box arrives, line them up oldest at the front, and always take the front one. Toner does not spoil quickly, but first-in, first-out keeps your stock turning over in an orderly way and means no carton gathers dust at the back of the cupboard for years.

Does coverage really change how long a cartridge lasts?

Yes. The 1,600-page figure assumes light five-percent coverage. A desk printing contracts and letters will land near it; a desk printing forms with shaded boxes, logos and bold blocks on every page will finish a cartridge noticeably sooner. Judge your rhythm by cartridges per quarter, not by the number on the box.

Can I split the pack between the printer and a home office?

Certainly — the cartridges are individually cartoned, so one can travel to a second location that runs a machine using the same CF230A. Keep the travelling cartridge sealed until it is installed, and store it flat, out of direct sunlight and away from heat vents, wherever it ends up.

What protection comes with the $48.56 pack?

Every cartridge in the box carries a 1-year warranty, and the pack is covered by 1-year free returns if something arrives wrong. If one cartridge of the three ever fails early, you are not stuck with the rest of the box — talk to us and we will sort out the faulty unit.
