Frequently Asked Questions

What arrives in this 5 pack?

Five CF226A black cartridges — the HP 26A black — each rated at up to 3,100 pages, for $88.40. It is a stocking pack: one cartridge for the printer now, four for the supply cabinet.

Why stock five at a time?

Because the cost of an empty printer is rarely the cartridge — it is the stalled work around it. A cabinet holding several CF226A cartridges means the low-toner warning is answered from the shelf in a minute, and purchasing happens on a schedule instead of in a panic.

Does one code really cover several machines?

It does. The CF226A serves the LaserJet Pro M402 series — the LaserJet M402d is part of it — and the LaserJet Pro M426 multifunction models alike. An office running a mix of those machines keeps exactly one toner code in the cabinet, which removes the classic mistake of stocking a cartridge that fits nothing.

How should five cartridges be stored?

Sealed, flat, and in a normal indoor room. Keep the boxes away from radiators, damp basements and direct sun, and note the arrival date on each box so the oldest stock is used first. A cartridge stored that way is in fine shape when its turn comes.

When should we reorder?

A practical rule: when the cabinet count drops to one. At that point a fresh order restores the buffer while the last cartridge still covers the wait, so the shelf never actually reaches empty.

What support stands behind the pack?

Every cartridge carries our 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns. We ship from warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California — the details live on our shipping and returns page — and support is on hand Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

About This 26A Black 5 Pack

This pack is written for the person who keeps the supply cabinet: five identical CF226A cartridges, one code to remember, one shelf to check. At $88.40 it converts toner from a recurring errand into a line item that gets handled a few times a year.

Each cartridge inside is rated at up to 3,100 pages, and each one waits sealed until the day it is needed. The system is deliberately dull — and that is the point.

The full printer list for it: the LaserJet M402d, LaserJet M402dn, LaserJet M402dw and LaserJet MFP M426fdn. Sizing is flexible around it: the 26A single cartridge (CF226A) at the neighbouring step, and the 26A cartridge for the M402 series (CF226A) listed for the printers by name.
