Frequently Asked Questions

What does this 3 pack contain?

Three CF226A black cartridges — the HP 26A black — each rated at up to 3,100 pages, boxed together for $60.44. Every cartridge in the pack is identical: same code, same rating, same black toner.

Who is a three-pack the right size for?

It suits a small office that works its printer steadily and replaces a cartridge every few weeks. One cartridge in the machine and two in reserve covers a good stretch of printing without turning toner into a warehouse project — enough stock to forget about it, not so much that boxes pile up.

Can the three cartridges serve different printers?

Yes. The CF226A is the single black cartridge for the whole LaserJet Pro M402 family — the LaserJet M402d included — and for the LaserJet Pro M426 multifunction models. A small office running two of those machines draws from the same shelf stock; whichever printer empties first takes the next box.

How do I make sure the oldest cartridge gets used first?

Write the arrival date on each box when the pack lands, then always take the earliest date from the shelf. That simple rotation — first in, first out — keeps any one cartridge from sitting long enough for its age to matter.

Is each cartridge rated the same?

Yes — every CF226A in the pack is the standard 26A black, rated at up to 3,100 pages at 5% coverage. Buying three changes how long you can go between orders; it does not change what each cartridge does once installed.

What warranty and returns apply?

All three cartridges carry our 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns. Orders ship from warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California — see our shipping and returns page for the details — and support answers Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

About This 26A Black 3 Pack

Three is the pack size for an office that has felt the annoyance of an empty printer once and decided not to feel it again soon. One cartridge works, two wait their turn with dates on their boxes, and reordering becomes a quarterly habit instead of a recurring scramble.

At $60.44, the pack buys that rhythm in a single order: the CF226A code stays the same from box to box, so anyone in the office can do the swap and anyone can place the reorder.

Owners run this cartridge in the LaserJet M402d, LaserJet M402dn, LaserJet M402dw and LaserJet MFP M426fdn. The same 26A black also comes as the 26A single cartridge (CF226A), with the 26A cartridge for the M402 series (CF226A) covering the model-named listings.
