Frequently Asked Questions

What is the 7400DXF in the 7400 range?

The top configuration. The DXF pairs the expanded DX paper handling with finishing hardware, so output can be collated and finished in the machine rather than by hand. It is the version of the 7400 bought by reprographics corners and busy departments that produce documents, not just pages.

Does the finishing hardware change anything about toner?

Nothing at all. A finisher works on paper after it has been printed; the image itself is laid down by the same engine, and the black supply is the same 106R01080 cartridge used across the family — the Phaser 7400, Phaser 7400DN, Phaser 7400DT and Phaser 7400DX, along with the Phaser 7400DFX.

What yield does this cartridge carry?

Up to 15,000 black pages — the high-yield fill for this platform — which at this listing's $73.70 price works out to roughly 0.49 cents per page. On a finisher-equipped machine running long production jobs, that yield is what keeps a run from pausing for a toner swap halfway through.

How many cartridges are in the box?

One. The listing's title uses the plural "Cartridges," but the quantity here is a single 106R01080 cartridge. Two-, three- and five-packs are separate listings, named and priced as what they are.

Is the cartridge black only?

Yes — this is the black supply for the 7400DXF. Cyan, magenta and yellow are separate cartridges on separate listings, and nothing about their ratings is folded into this cartridge's 15,000-page black figure.

What warranty and returns cover it?

A 1-year warranty plus free returns for a full year, with terms on our shipping and returns page. Dispatch is from IL, PA, GA and CA, help is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and the complete range for these printers is collected on our Xerox page.

About This Phaser 7400DXF Black Cartridge

One compatible 106R01080 black cartridge, $73.70, rated for up to 15,000 pages, listed under the Phaser 7400DXF's name. The finisher may be the fanciest hardware on the machine, but its appetite is ordinary: the same black cartridge the rest of the 7400 family runs on, sized generously enough for production work.
