Frequently Asked Questions

How many spare magenta cartridges should a busy office keep on the shelf?

One is the sweet spot for most. The 006R01511 is rated at 15,000 pages, so a single spare covers a long stretch of color work on a WorkCentre 7855 — and because the same cartridge serves ten different WorkCentre models, that one spare protects every machine in the family, not just this one. Reorder when the spare goes in, and the shelf is never empty.

We run several different WorkCentre models — does one magenta really cover them all?

Yes. The 7855 shares its magenta with the WorkCentre 7525, WorkCentre 7530, WorkCentre 7535, WorkCentre 7545, WorkCentre 7556, WorkCentre 7830, WorkCentre 7835, WorkCentre 7845 and WorkCentre 7970. For a mixed fleet, that means one part number to stock, one to reorder, and no machine waiting on a model-specific cartridge.

Why does our magenta always run out before the other colors?

Because office color work is magenta-hungry. Reds, purples, oranges, charts, logos and skin tones all draw on it heavily, while many pages use little of the other colors. It is normal — expected, even — for magenta to cycle two or three times while another color is still on its first cartridge. Buying it singly, as this listing does, matches how it is actually consumed.

What is the per-page cost at fleet volumes?

Straightforward: $96.46 buys a cartridge rated at 15,000 pages, so magenta costs about 0.64 cents a page. That figure holds no matter which of the ten models prints the page — one cartridge, one cost line, easy budgeting across a whole fleet.

What if a cartridge from the shelf turns out to be faulty?

It is covered for a year from purchase: a 1-year warranty and free returns for a full year, under our shipping & returns page. Pale output, streaking or a leak means a replacement or refund, whether the cartridge went in the day it arrived or months later.

How is shipping handled for a fleet order?

Cartridges ship from whichever of our warehouses — IL, PA, GA or CA — is nearest the delivery address, so even a cross-country office is not waiting long. Questions about stocking or an order? Support answers Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
