Frequently Asked Questions

What is the thinking behind an eight-cartridge set?

Volume. A Phaser 7800 printing all day, every day, burns through high-yield cartridges on a schedule measured in weeks. Eight cartridges in one delivery means the supply cupboard is restocked in a single transaction, purchasing is handled for the season, and the machine's appetite stops dictating the calendar.

Which cartridges make up the eight?

The set is drawn entirely from the platform's four part numbers: black 106R01569, cyan 106R01566, magenta 106R01567 and yellow 106R01568. All eight cartridges are genuine fits for the 7800's four positions — open any box in the carton and it belongs in the machine.

How much printing does the stock represent per cartridge?

Each black 106R01569 is rated up to 24,000 pages, and each cyan 106R01566, magenta 106R01567 and yellow 106R01568 up to 17,000 pages, on the standard 5% coverage test basis. Heavy color coverage draws toner down faster than that reference page, so a production shop should expect its colors to turn over ahead of the black.

How should eight cartridges be stored and rotated?

Flat, sealed and out of direct sunlight, in the same room conditions as the printer. Fit the earliest-delivered stock first so the cupboard rotates naturally; a sealed cartridge holds its full rated life on the shelf, so nothing is lost by buying ahead.

Does an order this size ship as a single delivery?

It ships from whichever of our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA is nearest to you, packed as one order under one tracking trail. If a delivery question comes up, our team covers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

What if a cartridge from the set turns out to be faulty?

Every cartridge in the set carries the same cover: a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, set out in full on our shipping and returns page. A problem unit is dealt with on its own — the rest of your shelf stock is unaffected.

About This 7800 8 Color Set

At $626.20, this eight-cartridge set is the bulk option for a hard-working Phaser 7800: black 106R01569 rated up to 24,000 pages per cartridge, with cyan 106R01566, magenta 106R01567 and yellow 106R01568 rated up to 17,000 pages per cartridge. It suits print rooms and busy departments that treat toner as standing stock rather than a just-in-time purchase. Smaller sets and singles for the platform appear on our Xerox toner page.
