Frequently Asked Questions

Why do photos from our 6600 lose their warmth before anything else looks wrong?

Warmth in a photograph is mostly magenta at work — reds, warm browns, sunset tones and healthy-looking skin all lean on it. Photo and graphics work also burns through magenta faster than plain documents do, so on a machine that prints a lot of imagery, this is the cartridge whose decline shows first: pictures go cool and flat while text pages still look perfectly normal.

The name reads "Toner Cartridges" — how many are in the box?

One. This listing ships a single 106R02226 magenta cartridge, even though the catalog name uses the plural wording. If your machine needs several colors at once, the other positions are separate listings under their own part numbers, and genuine multipacks are listed separately as packs.

Which models share this magenta cartridge?

All of them on the platform: the Phaser 6600, Phaser 6600N, Phaser 6600DN, Phaser 6600YDN, WorkCentre 6605 and WorkCentre 6605DN all draw magenta from the same 106R02226.

Is this the standard-capacity magenta or the high-yield one?

The high-yield one. The platform's color positions come in more than one capacity, and the part number is what separates them: 106R02226 is the 6,000-page fill. When reordering, match the code from the old cartridge rather than going by the color name alone.

What do the numbers look like — pages and price?

One cartridge, rated up to 6,000 pages, priced at $40.71. That is roughly 0.68 cents per page for the magenta share of your color output — inexpensive insurance against the washed-out reds that give a fading cartridge away.

What if the cartridge underperforms?

It is covered by a 1-year warranty, with free returns for a full year. The details live on our shipping and returns page. We ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and our support team answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
