Frequently Asked Questions

When does it make sense to buy the three colours together instead of one at a time?

When the printer matters to more than one person. Bought singly, each colour means its own order, its own delivery window and its own afternoon of washed-out prints while you wait. A trio bought in one box puts every colour within arm's reach, so the cartridge that gives out — whichever one it turns out to be — is a two-minute swap rather than a purchasing errand. For a small office or a busy home desk, that convenience is the real product here.

How much colour printing does this set cover, and what does each cartridge cost?

Each of the three cartridges is rated at 1,000 pages apiece on the standard test cycle — roughly 5% coverage of the page — which adds up to 3,000 rated colour pages across the set. The set price of $39.94 works out to about $13.31 per cartridge — roughly 1.3 cents per rated colour page. Heavy colour work, full-page photographs and solid backgrounds will pull the real figure below the rating, while letters and reports with modest colour land close to it.

The printer has stopped on an empty-colour message. Do I have to change all three cartridges to get it going again?

No — only the bay the machine is complaining about needs a fresh cartridge. Read the colour named in the message, then take the matching unit from the set: cyan is the 106R01331, magenta is the 106R01332 and yellow is the 106R01333. Swap that one cartridge and the job resumes; the other two stay sealed in the box as spares for the day their own bays run dry. Nothing about this set forces a three-at-once change.

How do I check these are the right cartridges before I break the seals?

Match codes, not colour names. The cartridge coming out of each bay carries its code on the label, and the three codes in this set — 106R01331 for cyan, 106R01332 for magenta, 106R01333 for yellow — should read exactly the same as the three coming out. Colour names alone are a trap because plenty of unrelated printers also take a "cyan" cartridge. One thing this set does not contain is black: the black for this platform is the 106R01334, a separate cartridge with its own listing.

Can I run one cartridge from this set alongside older cartridges already in the machine?

Yes. Each colour bay works independently, and there is no matched-batch requirement — a fresh magenta from this set will sit happily next to a half-used cyan that has been in the printer for months. The only visible effect is the one you want: the colour you replaced comes back to full strength while the others continue at whatever level they had reached. Replace colours as they individually run out and the set is simply consumed one bay at a time.

How are these cartridges covered, and how does ordering work?

Each cartridge comes with a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns: if a unit develops a fault early in its life, you send it back and choose between a replacement and your money back. We dispatch from whichever of our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA gets the set to you soonest, and our support team answers questions Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. Postage costs, delivery times and the steps for starting a return are all explained on our shipping & returns page.

About This 3 Colour Set

This set gathers the full colour line-up of the Phaser 6125 — and its networked twin, the Phaser 6125N — into a single $39.94 purchase: a cyan 106R01331, a magenta 106R01332 and a yellow 106R01333, each rated at 1,000 pages. It is built for owners who would rather answer an empty-colour message from the cupboard than from a checkout page: fit all three for a full palette refresh, or draw on them individually as each bay runs dry. The matching black cartridge and the rest of the Xerox catalogue are on the site, and the cover behind each cartridge is a 1-year warranty plus 1-year free returns.
