    Frequently Asked Questions

Everything warm on the page looks cold lately — greens have gone blue and oranges have gone red. One cartridge?

One cartridge, and it is the quiet one. Yellow is the warm half of almost every mixed color on the page: green is cyan plus yellow, orange is magenta plus yellow, and golds, creams and skin tones all lean on it. As the 106R01333 fades, that warmth drains out of the recipe — greens slide toward blue, oranges collapse into plain red, warm grays go steely, and the document still looks "printed," just subtly wrong, like a photo taken under office lighting. When several unrelated warm colors cool down together while blues and blacks stay honest, you are looking at one emptying yellow unit, not a driver problem.

Why did nobody see it coming? The printer never printed a bad-looking yellow page.

Because pure yellow on white paper is nearly invisible — it is the lowest-contrast color the machine lays down, so a test page can show a feeble yellow patch that the eye skims straight past. Yellow almost never gets caught failing on its own; it gets caught by what it abandons. The greens and oranges your documents actually use are where the loss shows up, which is why this cartridge is routinely the last one anyone suspects and the first one whose absence rewrites the whole palette.

I mostly print documents — what does a 1,000-page rating turn into on my desk?

That rating is counted at roughly 5% page coverage, the world of memos, invoices and web pages with a chart here and there — and documents are not heavy yellow spenders in the first place. In that kind of service this standard-yield unit typically covers months of everyday printing, at a running cost of about 2.6 cents per rated page. The number only melts quickly under full-color photographs and dense graphics, where a single page can spend what twenty text pages would.

Can I confirm it is the yellow before I order, rather than guessing by symptom?

Yes — print the printer's own supplies or demo page from its panel menu and look at the four solid color bars it lays down. Judge the yellow bar by its edges and evenness rather than its brightness: a healthy bar is a clean, uniform slab edge to edge, while a dying one breaks into streaks, fades toward one side, or arrives patchy. That thirty-second print settles the question with evidence instead of inference, and the code on the cartridge you are about to replace — 106R01333 — is the number to match when you order.

The low-toner message is up for yellow. Do I swap now or run it to the end?

Order now, swap when the output tells you to. The message is the printer's early estimate, and there is usually useful toner behind it — but warm colors are unforgiving about the endgame, because a half-empty yellow does not print lighter pages, it prints wrong colors. So keep working on the old unit for ordinary documents, and the moment greens start reading blue on something that matters, the replacement is already in the drawer instead of in transit.

What stands behind this cartridge if it disappoints?

A 1-year warranty, and returns are free for a full year should the cartridge prove wrong for your machine — the details live on our shipping and returns page. Stock ships from warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California, and the support desk is staffed Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

About This Xerox 106R01333 Yellow Toner Cartridge

This is the code-first listing for the family's yellow supply: one compatible 106R01333 cartridge at $25.70, rated at up to 1,000 pages. It serves the Phaser 6125 and the Phaser 6125N, the same compact color engine in plain and networked dress. Yellow is the cartridge nobody watches and everybody uses — the warmth inside your greens, oranges and highlights — so when the whole palette turns cold at once, this small unit is the usual missing ingredient. The rest of the range sits on our Xerox page.

I've had experiences with other after-market cartridges where the print was noticeably lighter from day one but that is not the case here. The print is nice and dark with no defects

I'm a music minor so I'm printing loads of sheet music and previous toners always had trouble printing sheet music. This one was the first toner that actually printed well and I was really happy with the quality of printing. Thank you!

I'm a shopkeeper and need clear prints. This printed perfectly from the beginning. No smearing. I've been using it for weeks every day with no problem. Save a ton in comparison to name brand. I will buy again.

Prints well. Haven't had any problems with streaks like other have mentioned. Much better price than the carts I ordered from toner companies before which were even lower than the manufacturer's toner. I can't imagine toner being any cheaper than this. My
