Frequently Asked Questions

How does a copy-heavy SCX-4016 pace itself through a cartridge?

By total pages, indifferent to job type. The machine's single cartridge is rated at 3,000 pages, and copies draw on it precisely as prints do. Five hundred copies plus a hundred prints monthly makes a 600-page machine, so the cartridge lasts about five months - the combined figure is the only honest basis for planning.

How should a front office estimate when the next cartridge is due?

Observe one month. Add copies and prints together, divide 3,000 by the sum, and the quotient is the interval in months; order the successor a few weeks inside it. The method is unglamorous and dependable, and considerably better than discovering the date from the faded output itself.

Copies are pale but prints look fine - where is the problem?

At the scanner, in all likelihood. Copies washing out while computer prints stay dark points to a filmed scanner glass or a copy darkness setting that has wandered - wipe the glass before spending money. When both output paths fade in step, the cartridge is genuinely near its end and replacement is the answer.

What does this cartridge cost per page on the SCX-4016?

Around 1.39 cents, copied or printed alike: $41.62 set against the 3,000-page rating. For a front-office multifunction that is a small, stable number - six hundred pages a month works out at roughly $8.34 of toner.

Which other machines can draw on a spare of this cartridge?

The cartridge's family: ML-1500, ML-1510, ML-1510B and ML-1520, ML-1710, ML-1710B, ML-1710D and ML-1710P, and ML-1740 and ML-1750. A unit stocked for the SCX-4016 fits every one of them, making the spare shared insurance across the office's older Samsung machines rather than a single-purpose buy.

What warranty and returns cover does this cartridge carry?

Warranty cover for a year, with returns free of charge for a year to run beside it. A unit leaking, streaking or failing early is returned at our expense by the process on the shipping and returns page. Dispatch runs from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and support keeps Monday to Friday hours, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
