Frequently Asked Questions

Why buy two of these cartridges at once?

Because a 20,000-page cartridge still runs out eventually, and on a department printer it tends to do so mid-run. Two ML-D4550B units put one in the machine and one on the shelf: the change takes minutes, the work never waits on a delivery, and reordering becomes a calm decision instead of an emergency.

What does each cartridge in the pair effectively cost?

The two-pack is $194.65, which works out at $97.33 a cartridge — against $106.57 bought singly. Across the pair's 40,000 rated pages the saving against two singles is $18.49, and the per-page cost eases from about 0.53 cents to roughly 0.49 cents.

How much printing does the box hold?

Forty thousand rated pages in total — two cartridges at 20,000 pages each. For a department machine that is a long supply horizon: at a few hundred pages a day, this box covers months of output before toner needs thinking about again.

Which printers does the pair serve?

Both cartridges are the ML-D4550B supply listed for the ML-4050, ML-4050N, ML-4550, ML-4551N and ML-4551ND. A two-pack can therefore be held as common stock where a department runs two different models from that group.

How should the spare be kept until it is needed?

Sealed in its box, flat, in a dry cupboard away from heat and sunlight. Toner does not spoil on a calendar, but a cartridge stored properly is a cartridge that performs the day it is fitted — and with a spare in reserve, fitting it is the whole of the job.

What protection covers the two-pack?

Each cartridge is protected individually: a one-year warranty against defects on both units, and free returns across the first year, with the full terms on the shipping and returns page. Support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
