Frequently Asked Questions

How long will 20,000 pages of black toner actually last us?

It depends on how hard your printer works. A department putting out around 2,000 black pages a month gets roughly ten months from one cartridge; at 5,000 pages a month, plan on about four months. Dense coverage — heavy reports, solid graphics — burns toner faster than everyday memos and invoices, so treat the 20,000-page rating as a guide rather than a guarantee.

What does a black page cost with this cartridge?

At $66.18 for a rated 20,000 pages, black output works out to about 0.33 cents per page before paper and power. That is a modest running cost for a departmental color printer that also handles your color work, and it is a big reason keeping an SP C811DN in service stays economical year after year.

Which printer is this cartridge made for?

This is the 820000 black cartridge built for Ricoh SP C811DN, Ricoh's departmental color laser platform. It replaces only the black unit, so your cyan, magenta, and yellow cartridges stay in place untouched. If the number on the cartridge you are replacing reads differently, compare it against 820000 before ordering.

The printer says toner is low, but pages still look fine. Should I swap now?

Not yet. The low-toner warning appears well before the cartridge is truly empty, and output usually stays clean for a good while afterward. Swap when black text starts fading evenly across the page or the machine begins refusing black jobs. Keeping a cartridge like this one on the shelf means you can wait for that moment without a scramble.

What protection comes with this cartridge?

It carries a one-year warranty, and returns are free for a full year as well. If a cartridge leaks, streaks, or gives out far earlier than it reasonably should, contact us and we will make it right. The full terms are on our shipping and returns page.

How fast can I get one if we run dry mid-week?

We ship from four warehouses in IL, PA, GA, and CA, so most orders land within a few business days depending on where you are. If you want a second pair of eyes on compatibility before ordering, our support team is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
