Frequently Asked Questions

What does a healthy magenta cartridge do on a high-volume color printer?

On the SP C811DN, magenta is doing production work: reds in charts, warm tones in covers and the middle range in photographs all depend on it. When it fades, long runs can drift so the first pages and the last pages no longer match. This magenta cartridge is rated for 15,000 pages and costs $98.08, about 0.65¢ per page at the rated yield.

Why replace magenta before a long color job?

Because color drift is harder to forgive in a stack of finished pages than on a single test sheet. If magenta is low and the job is heavy in warm color, starting with a fresh cartridge gives the run a better chance of staying consistent from beginning to end. It also avoids stopping a production printer for a supply change in the middle of work.

Which printer models use this magenta cartridge?

This cartridge is made for Ricoh SP C811DN. Match the full model name on the printer with the listing before ordering, particularly if your print room runs more than one Ricoh color platform.

Can I change only magenta and leave the rest of the set alone?

Yes. This is a single magenta cartridge. Cyan, yellow and black are separate; black is sold separately and should be replaced on its own schedule. If the weakness is clearly in reds and warm tones, changing only magenta preserves the remaining life in the other supplies.

How should output be checked after installation?

Print a page that includes a strong red, a photograph or skin tone, and a neutral gray area. The red should recover without pushing the gray areas pink. If the whole image still looks wrong after magenta is fresh, the issue is broader than one color and is worth checking before more supplies are changed.

What cover does Clever Supplies provide?

The cartridge is backed by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns under the shipping and returns policy. For a workhorse printer, that protection matters because a supply problem should be handled as a service issue, not absorbed as waste. Support is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST.

About This Ricoh SP C811DN Magenta Toner Cartridge

This magenta cartridge is built for the Ricoh SP C811DN, a color printer used where page counts are high enough that one weak color can spoil a whole run. At $98.08 for a 15,000-page rating, it is a targeted production replacement rather than a full set purchase. Clever Supplies ships from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA and carries it among its Ricoh toner cartridges for busy color environments.
