Frequently Asked Questions
Who honestly goes through six color cartridges for one machine?
Two kinds of buyers. The first is a genuinely high-volume color office — marketing departments, schools and print rooms running an MP C4503 or MP C5503 hard enough that a single color set is a few months' supply, not a year's. The second is anyone stocking for more than one machine on the same platform: six cartridges on the shelf cover staggered refills across a small fleet without emergency orders. If your color printing is occasional, this pack is more than you need — a three-color set will sit fresher.
How are the six cartridges made up?
The pack holds six color cartridges for this platform, and every color unit in it is rated at 22,500 pages. We describe it by cartridge count and per-color yield rather than a fixed split, so check the pack against how your own colors run down — most offices drain cyan ahead of the others. There is no black cartridge in this pack; black for these machines is a separate 33,000-page listing on its own cycle.
How should we store six cartridges without shortening their life?
Keep them sealed in their bags, flat, in a cool dry room away from direct sunlight and heaters. Sealed toner cartridges keep well for a long shelf period, so a six-pack bought today is fine to work through gradually — just rotate stock: load the oldest cartridge first, and write the purchase date on each box so the rotation is obvious to whoever restocks the machine. Never store them standing on end in a hot supply closet; heat is the one thing that genuinely ages toner.
Will this pack work in our printers?
These cartridges are made for Ricoh MP C4503 and MP C5503. Every unit seats in the color positions of those models. If your fleet mixes these with other Ricoh platforms, keep this pack labeled for the C4503/C5503 machines — cartridges from different platforms do not interchange, even within the same brand.
Does buying six at once change our warranty or return rights?
No — each cartridge carries the same cover whether it ships alone or in this pack: a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns on every unit, judged cartridge by cartridge. If one unit out of the six misbehaves, that unit is the return; the other five are unaffected. The full policy is on our shipping and returns page.
At what point should we reorder the next pack?
A workable rule for this platform: when the shelf count drops to your last full color set, reorder. Each color is rated at 22,500 pages, so your monthly color volume tells you the lead time you can afford — a 5,000-page-a-month office burns a color in about four to five months and can reorder calmly, while a 15,000-page operation should not let the shelf run to zero. Support can help you sanity-check quantities Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
