Frequently Asked Questions
Why replace cyan, magenta and yellow together if only one color is flashing empty?
Because the three colors age on roughly the same clock. Each one in this set is rated at 22,500 pages, and on the MP C4503 and MP C5503 they are consumed side by side in every color document. When the first color empties, the other two are rarely far behind — swapping all three in one session resets the whole color side of the machine, so you are not opening it again in three weeks for the next color. If one color is genuinely far ahead of the others, single cartridges are listed separately; this set is for the synchronized refresh.
What exactly is in this three-cartridge set?
One cyan, one magenta and one yellow cartridge — a single unit of each color, each rated at 22,500 pages. There is no black cartridge in the box: black on this platform is a separate 33,000-page unit that runs on its own schedule, since text printing drains it independently of the colors. This set covers the complete color side of the machine in one order.
How much printing does a full color set represent?
Each color is rated at 22,500 pages, so together the set supports up to 22,500 full-color pages before the first color runs dry — the colors are consumed in parallel, not added end to end. For an office printing 2,000 color pages a month, that is close to a year of color work from one set; heavy marketing output at 6,000 color pages a month works through it in under four months.
Does this set fit our machine?
This color set is built for Ricoh MP C4503 and MP C5503. Those are the machines whose color units it matches, each color seating in its labeled position. If your printer is a different Ricoh model, check the listing for that model instead — the cartridges are not interchangeable across platforms even when they look similar.
Is it smarter to buy the set or pick up singles as each color dies?
It depends on your pattern. Offices that print color steadily usually prefer the set: one delivery, one swap session, and all three colors back to full at once, which also makes stock-keeping simple — an empty shelf means it is time to reorder. Very light color users may do better with singles, replacing only the color that empties. At $277.33 for the three 22,500-page units, the set is priced for offices that know they will use all three colors.
What happens if one cartridge in the set is faulty?
It is handled on its own. The set is covered by our 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, and a defective unit does not drag the other two into the return — you send back the bad cartridge and keep printing with the rest. The details are on our shipping and returns page, and our team answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
