Frequently Asked Questions
Why does a color printer need a black cartridge rated for 24,000 pages?
Because most of what a color machine actually prints is black text. Invoices, contracts, shipping labels and reports rarely use the color cartridges at all, so the black cartridge does the heavy lifting on the Ricoh SP C430DN. A 24,000-page rating means the black supply is sized for that everyday document load rather than for occasional color jobs.
How long will 24,000 pages last in a typical office?
It depends entirely on your monthly volume. At roughly 500 black pages a month, one cartridge covers about four years of printing. At 2,000 pages a month it lasts around a year, and a busy workgroup printing 4,000 black pages monthly will go through one in about six months. The rating assumes standard page coverage, so dense pages with heavy graphics will use toner faster.
What does this cartridge cost per page?
At $69.54 for a rated 24,000 pages, the math works out to roughly 0.29 cents per page for black output. That is the figure to compare when you are weighing this cartridge against lower-yield options: a cheaper cartridge that runs out sooner often costs more per printed page in the end.
Which printers does this cartridge work in?
This black cartridge is made for Ricoh SP C430DN. If your machine is on that list, it installs in the black slot the same way the original cartridge does. Only the black cartridge is included in this listing — the color cartridges for the SP C430DN are sold separately.
What warranty and returns come with it?
Every cartridge we sell is covered by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns. If it fails or simply is not right for your machine, you can send it back within that year. The full terms are on our shipping and returns page.
How fast will my order arrive, and where can I get help?
Orders ship from one of our four warehouses in IL, PA, GA or CA, whichever gets it to you fastest. If you have a question before or after ordering, our support team is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
