Frequently Asked Questions
The printer only holds one black cartridge — why buy two at once?
Because the second one sits sealed on the shelf as your spare. When the installed cartridge runs out mid-job, you swap in the spare in a couple of minutes instead of stopping work and waiting on a delivery. On a machine like the SP C430DN, where black toner does most of the printing, a shelf spare is cheap insurance against a stalled workday.
How much do I save with the 2-pack versus buying singles?
Two single cartridges would cost $139.08. This 2-pack is $120.59, so you save $18.49 — that works out to $60.30 per cartridge instead of $69.54. Together the pair is rated for 48,000 pages of black output.
Will the spare cartridge go bad sitting in storage?
Kept sealed in its packaging in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, a toner cartridge stores well for a long time. Toner is a dry powder, so there is no ink to dry out. Just keep the box unopened until you need it, and use the older cartridge first when you restock.
Which printers is this 2-pack made for?
These black cartridges fit Ricoh SP C430DN. Both cartridges in the pack are the black cartridge for that machine — this listing does not include any color cartridges, which are available separately.
What if one of the two cartridges has a problem?
Each cartridge is covered by our 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, and a problem with one cartridge is handled on its own — you do not have to send back the whole pack. Details are on our shipping and returns page.
Can I split this pack between two printers?
Yes. If your office runs more than one machine that uses this cartridge, you can put one in each printer, or keep one installed and one as a shared spare. Either way you still get the lower per-cartridge price of the pack.
