Frequently Asked Questions

Yellow is nearly invisible on the page — how can I tell whether it is printing properly?

Print something with green in it. Green is made from cyan plus yellow, so if your greens come out blue, yellow is the missing ingredient even though a yellow-only patch looks too pale to judge. Most machines in this family also report each cartridge's remaining level on the status screen, which settles the question.

What does yellow quietly do in everyday documents?

Far more than its name suggests. It warms up skin tones in photos, builds every green and gold, and softens highlights in charts and presentations. Offices that print a lot of photographic or branded material can empty yellow at a pace that surprises them.

How far does the 10,500-page rating go in a typical office?

At standard 5% coverage, 10,500 pages is the rating, and this cartridge costs $64.98 — roughly 0.62 cents per page. Light, text-first color use can get close to that figure, while photo-heavy work will finish the cartridge sooner; the rating is a yardstick, not a promise.

The title says C2000 — is this yellow cartridge locked to that model?

No. This 842308 yellow cartridge is shared across the entire Ricoh IM C2000 and IM C2500 platform, and the C2000 in the title is simply the model this particular listing is named for. The same cartridge drops into any model in the family.

Can I replace just the yellow and leave the other cartridges alone?

Absolutely — each color is an independent cartridge, and replacing only the one that is empty is the economical move. There is no need to disturb cyan, magenta or black until their own levels call for it, and the swap itself takes only a few minutes.

What support stands behind this cartridge?

A one-year warranty and one year of free returns, spelled out on our shipping and returns page. Real people answer support requests Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and your order ships from the closest of our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA.
