Frequently Asked Questions

When all four cartridges have aged together, what does replacing them as a matched set do for our output?

It brings the machine back to a known baseline. Colors that have faded at different rates can make the same document look slightly different week to week; a fresh, matched set restores consistent, predictable color across the whole run — which is why design-sensitive offices refresh this way before a big print project.

The black is rated 16,500 pages but the colors 10,500 — will they run out together?

Usually not, and that is normal for this platform. Black carries every text page while the colors are only spent on color content, so after this set you will most likely reorder the three colors before the black needs attention again. The set is a refresh point, not a promise that all four end on the same day.

How does the set price compare with buying the four cartridges one by one?

Bought separately, the black ($64.03) and three colors ($64.98 each) total $258.97. This set is $203.50, so you save $55.47 and get a single shipment with one order instead of four separate purchases to track.

Our machine is a different model in this family than the C2000 in the title — will this set fit it?

Yes. The set's four cartridges — the 842307 black and its cyan, magenta and yellow counterparts — serve the complete Ricoh IM C2000 and IM C2500 platform. The C2000 name in the title identifies the listing, but the cartridges are the standard ones for every model in the family.

Do I have to install all four cartridges the day the set arrives?

No. Install whichever cartridge the machine is asking for and keep the rest sealed on the shelf; toner does not spoil while it waits. Many offices install the set over several weeks as each color reaches empty, which spreads the refresh without wasting the life left in the current cartridges.

If one cartridge out of the four turns out to be faulty, how is it handled?

Each cartridge in the set is covered individually by our one-year warranty and one-year free returns policy, detailed on the shipping and returns page. Contact support Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST and we will replace the problem unit — the rest of the set stays in your machine.
