Frequently Asked Questions
What does the number 56123402 in this listing's name tell me?
It is the part number of the cartridge itself — the most reliable way to identify your supply. Printer model names change across listings, but if the cartridge that came out of your MB260MFP is stamped 56123402, this is the matching replacement, at $44.01 for a rated 5,500 pages.
Which printer models use the 56123402?
It is listed for the Okidata MB260MFP — this listing's model — and the MB280MFP. Both machines take the same high-yield black cartridge, so one part number covers either model if your office happens to run both.
What does "high yield" mean in practical terms here?
It means the cartridge is rated at 5,500 pages rather than a smaller standard fill. Fewer swaps, and at $44.01 the running cost works out to roughly 0.80 cents per page at standard coverage — heavy, dark coverage will use toner faster, light text slower.
Is this an OEM Okidata cartridge?
No, it is a compatible 56123402 built to the same specification. It is covered by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, so the practical risk of trying it is low. Support is available Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST.
How do I know when the cartridge is truly empty?
When pages come out faded or streaky even after you remove the cartridge and gently rock it side to side to redistribute the toner, it is done. Warning messages usually appear well before that point, so judge by output quality, not the first warning.
Where will my cartridge ship from?
From whichever of our warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia, or California — is best placed to reach you quickly. Return and warranty terms are spelled out on our shipping & returns page.
