Frequently Asked Questions
How far does the per-cartridge price fall in this 5-pack?
To about $29.21. The pack costs $146.07 for five 56123402 cartridges that would run $220.05 bought one at a time — a $73.98 saving. That is the point where this cartridge's running cost drops to roughly 0.53 cents per rated page.
Is this the same 5-pack as the MB290 listing?
Yes, same product and same price. Whether the listing names the printer (MB260MFP, as here) or the machine family (MB290), the box holds five identical 56123402 high-yield black cartridges at $146.07. Order from whichever listing you found; nothing differs inside.
How long will five cartridges last our office?
The pack totals 27,500 rated pages at 5,500 pages per cartridge. An MB260MFP printing and copying a few thousand pages a month will take the better part of a year to finish it; a very busy machine might get through it in a quarter. Count copies as well as prints when you estimate.
How should I store four spare cartridges?
Flat, sealed, in a cool dry cupboard — not on top of the printer or near a radiator. Heat and humidity are the enemies; a normal office shelf is fine, and each cartridge stays in its own packaging until the day it is installed.
Which models does this pack fit?
The 56123402 is listed for the Okidata MB260MFP and MB280MFP. This listing is named for the MB260MFP; the cartridge also serves the MB280MFP.
What backing comes with the pack?
A 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns on every cartridge, with fulfillment from our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and California warehouses. Full terms are on the shipping & returns page, and support is staffed Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST.
