Frequently Asked Questions

What does 0.56 cents per page actually mean for my budget?

It is the simplest way to read this cartridge: $63.87 spread across an 11,500-page rating for cyan 46507603 lands at roughly 0.56 cents of toner cost per page. For a workgroup C712dn printing color daily, that is a genuinely low running figure, and it is the cheapest per-page rate among the singles in this family.

All three colors cost the same here — why is that worth noting?

Because it is not always so. In this family cyan, magenta and yellow are each $63.87 at identical 11,500-page ratings, which makes forecasting easy: whichever color fades, the replacement costs the same. No cross-checking price tables when the printer calls for a swap.

Why does cyan get through so much toner on this printer?

Blue-dominant material — charts, diagrams, sky and sea imagery, corporate blue branding — draws heavily on cyan. On a C712dn serving a whole department, cyan is frequently the first color to report low, which is exactly the moment a single like this is for.

Can I fit this cyan while the other cartridges stay put?

Yes. 46507603 installs on its own; magenta 46507602, yellow 46507601 and black 46507604 keep their own counters and their own remaining life. Replacing colors one at a time, only as each is spent, is the economical way to run this printer.

How long is 11,500 pages in real terms?

At standard coverage it is a long service interval — months of ordinary departmental printing for most offices. Heavy coverage shortens it, light coverage stretches it; treat the rating as the yardstick every cartridge in the family is measured by, not a date on a calendar.

What protection comes with this compatible cartridge?

A one-year warranty and one-year free returns — the terms are on our shipping and returns page. Shipments leave from Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California warehouses, and support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
