Frequently Asked Questions

The color ratings are higher than the black rating — is that right?

It is, and it is unusual enough to be worth saying out loud. In this family the colors are rated at 11,500 pages each, while black 46507604 is rated at 11,000. On the Oki C712dn that means a fresh set's black may actually report low slightly before the colors — the opposite of what most offices expect.

Which cartridges make up this four color set?

One of each position: black 46507604, cyan 46507603, magenta 46507602 and yellow 46507601. A single box resets the whole printer, which is why this set is the default choice for a C712dn being recommissioned or caught up after a long stretch on aging cartridges.

What does the $204.54 price average out to?

About $51.14 per cartridge across the four. Held against the color singles at $63.87 each, the set's structure already absorbs a meaningful part of the cost; the black cartridge effectively comes in well under the single-cartridge price level of its color siblings.

Why keep the yields as two classes instead of one set total?

Because black at 11,000 pages and colors at 11,500 pages are consumed at different rates by different kinds of documents. Adding them into a single headline number would promise a total no real workload ever prints. We quote the classes separately so your own page mix tells you which runs out first.

Is this set sized for a busy workgroup or a quiet office?

Eleven-thousand-page-class cartridges are workgroup consumables. A quiet office will take a long time to finish a set like this; a department printing reports, proposals and color handouts daily is exactly the workload these ratings were designed around.

What backing do these compatible cartridges carry?

A one-year warranty plus one-year free returns, with the terms posted on our shipping and returns page. Orders ship from Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California warehouses, and support is staffed Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
