Frequently Asked Questions

Before I order: which color does the fifth cartridge duplicate?

The listing names the four family codes — 46507604, 46507603, 46507602 and 46507601 — but does not specify the fifth cartridge's color, and we would rather flag that than paper over it. A two-minute check with support before checkout confirms the exact box contents for your order.

How does the math look on this five-pack?

At $254.45, the pack averages about $50.89 per cartridge — a touch under the four-set's $51.14 average. The honest summary is that the fifth cartridge arrives at roughly the set's going rate; what you are buying is a planned spare, not a dramatic bulk discount.

Which spare makes the most sense on a C712dn?

Follow your own reports. On this printer the black rating (11,000 pages) is marginally lower than the colors (11,500), so in text-heavy departments black is statistically the first to finish — while graphics-heavy teams usually drain one color ahead of the rest. Your printer's supply history is the best guide to which duplicate helps you.

How should the pack's yields be read?

As two classes, never as a summed total: black cartridges in this family carry an 11,000-page rating, colors 11,500 pages. Whichever cartridge the fifth turns out to be, it brings its own class rating with it when it is eventually fitted.

Any storage advice for the cartridge I am not fitting yet?

Keep it in its sealed packaging, stored flat in a cool, dry cupboard away from windows. Fitted in rotation — oldest stock first — a spare kept this way is ready the day the printer asks for it, with no fuss at the moment you least want fuss.

What cover applies if something in the pack disappoints?

These compatible cartridges are covered by a one-year warranty and one-year free returns; details are on our shipping and returns page. We dispatch from warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California, and support answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
