Frequently Asked Questions

Can we do the full cost-per-page accounting on this 5-pack?

Yes, with listed numbers only. The pack is $65.27 for five 43502001 cartridges, each rated up to 7,000 pages — up to 35,000 pages in total. That is about $13.05 per cartridge and roughly 0.19 cents per page. Against five singles at $27.84 each ($139.20), the pack saves $73.93. What it cannot tell you is your real yield: heavy coverage shortens cartridge life, so treat 0.19 cents as the rated figure, not a guarantee.

Who is a 5-pack actually sized for?

A printer that works for a living: a shared B4550, B4550n, B4600 or B4600n in a small office, a front desk, a dispatch corner — anywhere an empty printer stops other people working. Five cartridges is roughly a half-year to a year of cover at steady office volume, and it removes reordering from the monthly routine. A home user who prints occasionally would take years to finish it and is better served by the single.

Are all five cartridges identical?

Yes — five black toner cartridges, all part number 43502001, all rated the same. There is no assortment and no color; these printers are monochrome. Install them one at a time as each empties, and keep the rest sealed.

How should we store four spares without ruining them?

Flat, sealed, in a normal office environment — no direct sun, no heat source, no damp storeroom floor. Toner cartridges are not perishable on any short timescale; the practical rule is simply to use them in the order you bought them and not to open one "just to check it," since an opened cartridge is the one that picks up dust and damage.

Is this genuine Oki stock?

No — compatible cartridges built to the 43502001 specification, which is exactly why five of them cost $65.27 instead of a branded multiple of that. The cover is a one-year warranty and one-year free returns, spelled out on the shipping & returns page.

Where will a pack this size ship from?

From whichever of our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA holds the stock, and support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if you need to check anything first. The single, the smaller packs and the 10-pack of this cartridge are all on the Okidata brand page.
