Frequently Asked Questions

How long will three cartridges keep a shared office printer running?

That depends on the office, but the raw material is up to 21,000 pages — three 43502001 cartridges at up to 7,000 pages each. A small team printing a few hundred pages a week is looking at many months of cover; a busy department doing thousands a month should treat this as a quarter's supply and reorder when the last cartridge goes in, not when it runs out. The pack suits the B4550, B4550n, B4600 and B4600n.

What is the real per-cartridge price here?

$15.52. The 3-pack lists at $46.56, against $83.52 for three cartridges bought one at a time — a $36.96 saving, and the per-page cost falls to roughly 0.22 cents. There is no trick in the arithmetic: the cartridges are identical to the single listing, part number 43502001, the price simply steps down as the box gets bigger.

Can I install one and store the other two?

Yes, and that is how these packs are meant to be used. One cartridge goes in the printer; the other two stay sealed in a cool, dry spot out of direct light. Rotate them in order as each one empties. Nothing about a sealed toner cartridge needs special handling beyond not baking it next to a heater.

Three black cartridges — is there anything else in the box?

No. This is a monochrome toner for monochrome printers: three identical black 43502001 cartridges and nothing else. The drum unit in a B4550 or B4600 is a separate part with its own number and a much longer life, and it is not included here.

What if one of the three turns out to be faulty?

These are compatible cartridges, and each is covered by a one-year warranty with one-year free returns — the wording lives on the shipping & returns page. A bad cartridge does not mean sending the whole pack back and starting over; get in touch and the faulty one is dealt with on its own.

Who do I talk to before ordering for the whole office?

Support answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and orders ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA. If you are standardizing several printers, the full Oki range — including the 5- and 10-packs of this same 43502001 — is on the Okidata brand page.
