Frequently Asked Questions

How does the math work on this $279.55 five-pack?

Five 44574301 drums at about $55.91 each. Against the $70.70 single price, the pack saves $73.95 — more than the cost of one whole drum — which is why offices that know they will use them stop buying drums one emergency at a time.

What workload justifies five spare drums?

Roughly 150,000 pages of imaging life. That fits a department running several printers from this family — B411D, B411dn, B431d, MB461 MFP, MB471, MB471W — or one workhorse machine printing at a pace where a 30,000-page drum is a yearly event rather than a rare one.

Why stock drums ahead instead of ordering when one fails?

Because a failing drum degrades output before it stops it: streaks, repeating spots and gray backgrounds creep into documents that go out to customers. A shelf stock of 44574301 drums means the swap happens at the first symptom instead of after days of poor prints while a delivery makes its way to you.

Do all five drums have to serve the same printer?

No — one drum design covers the whole family, so the five can be spread across different machines as each one's surface wears. Fleet managers like exactly this: a single spare part number on the shelf that answers every drum call in the building.

How should five drum units be stored?

Sealed in their packaging, stacked somewhere dark and dry at normal room temperature. The imaging surface is light-sensitive, so unopened boxes are the protection. Kept that way, the fifth drum will perform like the first when its turn comes, even if that is well down the road.

What if one drum in the pack arrives faulty?

Every unit is a compatible drum covered by our 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns — the details are on our shipping and returns page. Packs ship from our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California warehouses, and support is reachable Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST.

About This B411D Drum Unit 5 Pack

This five-pack of compatible 44574301 drum units keeps the B411D family — B411dn, B431d, MB461 MFP, MB471 and MB471W included — imaging cleanly for about 150,000 pages in total. Drums decide print quality on these machines: when one wears, no toner cartridge can rescue the streaks and repeating marks it leaves. Holding five at about $55.91 apiece ($279.55 the pack, $73.95 saved against singles) turns drum replacement into routine maintenance instead of a scramble. Smaller and larger quantities are listed on our Okidata brand page.
