Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of operation buys ten drum units at once?

One standardising a fleet on this printer family: schools, clinics, warehouses and multi-desk offices where B411D-class machines — and the MB461 MFP, MB471, MB471W, B411dn and B431d — do the daily printing. Ten 44574301 drums on one shelf means any machine's drum can be swapped the same day it starts marking pages.

What does the $540.63 price work out to per drum?

About $54.06 per drum, the lowest unit price in this drum's pack ladder. Against ten single purchases at $70.70, the pack saves $166.37 — effectively more than two free drums — simply for consolidating orders you would place anyway.

How many pages will ten drums image?

At 30,000 pages per drum, 300,000 pages. That is the long-horizon way to think about drum supply: toner comes and goes every few thousand pages, but this pack settles the imaging side of the fleet's printing for a very long stretch.

Is there a risk in holding drums this far ahead?

Very little, handled properly. The 44574301 wears by pages printed, not by sitting sealed in a dark storeroom. Keep the boxes closed until fitting day and each drum will deliver its rated life in turn — the real risk is the opposite one: a worn drum degrading documents while a replacement is in transit.

How does a buyer know when a fleet drum actually needs changing?

The printer tells you on paper: repeating defects at regular intervals, lines, or a gray film over the page that fresh toner does not clear. Those are surface-wear symptoms of the drum, and with this pack on hand the response is a swap from the shelf, not a purchase order.

What backing comes with a ten-pack order?

All ten are compatible drums under our 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns, set out on our shipping and returns page. We dispatch from warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California, and support answers Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST.

About This B411D Drum Unit 10 Pack

Ten compatible 44574301 drum units — 300,000 pages of imaging capacity — for the B411D and the machines that share its drum: B411dn, B431d, MB461 MFP, MB471 and MB471W. For a fleet, the drum is the part that quietly decides whether documents look professional, and it fails gradually, in streaks and repeating marks, long before it stops. This $540.63 pack, about $54.06 a drum and $166.37 saved against singles, puts the replacement on the shelf before it is needed. The full range of pack sizes lives on our Okidata brand page.
