Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of operation buys toner four cartridges at a time for an S2450?

The kind that measures printing in tens of thousands of pages: billing departments, university offices, warehouses running pick documents all day, and print rooms where the S2450 never really cools down. For them, 70,400 pages is not hoarding — it is a quarter or two of normal consumption, bought once at the lowest per-page rate instead of four times at the highest.

Exactly how much does the four-pack save?

Four singles would cost $437.72. The four-pack is $382.25, a savings of $55.47, which works out to $95.56 per cartridge and roughly 0.54 cents per page across 70,400 rated pages. On a machine printing six figures of pages a year, that gap between pack and single pricing compounds into real money.

Can these cartridges be shared with our other Optra printers?

Freely. The 1382925 is the single cartridge number for the whole Optra S line: OPTRA S1250, OPTRA S1620, OPTRA S1650, OPTRA S1855, OPTRA S2420 and OPTRA S2450. This listing names the S2450, but any model on that list can draw from this stock, which makes the four-pack a shared pool for a mixed legacy fleet rather than a bet on one machine.

How do we keep a four-pack organized?

Keep one cartridge at the printer and three in stores, each marked with its arrival date, and issue oldest first. Because every Optra in the building takes the same cartridge, there is no sorting by model — the supply room holds one toner item for the entire legacy fleet, which is about as simple as stocking gets.

Is there a shelf-life worry with the last cartridge in the box?

Not under normal storage. Sealed, flat, dry, and out of direct heat, toner cartridges keep for years — the powder inside does not evaporate or settle into uselessness. The honest caveat is mechanical, not chemical: stock this deep for printers that are healthy, since a retired machine is the only real way stocked toner gets stranded.

How are we protected on a bulk buy?

Each cartridge stands on its own one-year warranty, and returns stay free for a full year on every unit. A single weak cartridge is replaced or refunded on its own — your remaining stock is untouched. Full details are on our shipping and returns page, and support is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
