Frequently Asked Questions

My MFP only holds one cartridge — why buy two at once?

The second cartridge is your shelf spare. When the first runs dry in the middle of the week, the swap takes a minute and nobody waits on a delivery; you place the next order when the spare goes in, not when the machine has already stopped.

What do I actually save with the 2-pack?

Two singles cost $162.62; this 2-pack is $144.13, so you save $18.49 and the per-cartridge price drops to $72.07. Across the pair's 20,000 rated pages, that also trims the cost per page from about 0.81 cents to roughly 0.72 cents.

Can I split the pair between two different printers?

Yes — this is the same 601H cartridge used right across the platform: MX410de, MX510de, MX511de, MX511dhe, MX511dte, MX610de, MX611de, MX611dfe, MX611dhe and MX611dte. The listing covers the family as a whole rather than a single model, so one pack can feed an MX310 in one office and an MX510 in another.

How should the spare cartridge be stored?

Keep it sealed in its box, stored flat in a cool, dry cupboard away from direct sunlight and radiators. Toner is a dry powder and keeps well for a long time stored that way, so a spare bought today performs exactly the same when you install it months from now.

Is this 2-pack a better deal than jumping to the high-yield 601X?

Per page, the 601X still wins — it is the cheaper cartridge for sustained heavy printing. The 2-pack of the 601H suits moderate-volume machines, where two standard cartridges cover a long stretch and you would rather not tie up more cash in a single high-yield cartridge.

What if one of the two cartridges turns out to be faulty?

Each cartridge is covered on its own merits: a one-year warranty and free returns for a full year, detailed on our shipping and returns page. A problem with one unit never affects the coverage of the other.
