• Is the 3JA04AN pigment or dye ink?

  It is pigment ink — the same ink technology HP uses in the original 3JA04AN — so text stays sharp and resists water and highlighter smear.

• Does this cartridge have a chip?

  Yes — a new compatible chip that reports ink levels to the printer, so the low-ink warnings keep working. It is not a refilled original shell with a reset chip.

• My printer shows a warning after installing — what do I do?

• Will this work if my printer uses HP+?

  if your printer was set up with HP+, it accepts original HP cartridges only — that lock is part of the HP+ program and applies to every non-original cartridge, ours included. On printers that are not HP+-locked, these cartridges install and print as normal.

• Can I mix this cartridge with original HP cartridges?

  Yes. Each slot is read independently, so a compatible black alongside original colours (or the other way round) prints normally.

• Is this an original HP cartridge?

  No. It is a Clever Supplies compatible cartridge built to the 3JA04AN specification and covered by our lifetime warranty. It is not manufactured by HP; the HP name appears only to identify the printers it fits.

• What if the cartridge leaks, is not recognised or prints badly?
