Frequently Asked Questions

Before we order, how do we confirm this is the supply our machine takes?

Print a supplies status page from the control panel and look at the cartridge entry. The part number printed there is the authority: if it reads W1470Y, the 147Y cartridge, then both cartridges in this pack are correct for the machine — no other specification needs checking. Match the code and the model looks after itself: the code is shared by the M611dn, M611n, M611x, M634h, M634z, M635h, M635z, M636fh and M636z.

What does $481.57 buy, in practical terms?

Two black cartridges, separately sealed and boxed, rated at 42,000 pages apiece. In an operations area that works through loan documentation every day, the practical meaning is simple: the machine gets a fresh cartridge, and its successor is already in the building when the first one eventually fades.

Loan files mean heavy scanning days. Does scanning wear the cartridge down?

It does not. Scanning sends a document to a file without touching toner at all. The cartridge is spent only when paper comes out — printed loan packages, copied identification and faxes the machine prints on receipt — so a scanning-heavy workflow stretches a cartridge further than the page counter alone would suggest.

Where do we keep the second cartridge until it is needed?

In its sealed carton, upright, in the same secure, room-temperature storage as other office supplies. Toner cartridges tolerate waiting well; the reserve installed months later delivers the same output as it would have on day one.

Talk me through the changeover itself.

Lift the top cover and draw the empty cartridge straight out. Take the new one from its bag, rock it gently from side to side, pull away the packing strip, and slide it into the bay until it settles. Close the cover and the machine returns to work — minutes, start to finish, with no tools involved.

What happens if a cartridge turns out to be faulty?

It goes back under a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, ending in a replacement or a refund rather than a dispute. Our support team can be reached Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST for anything else.

About This 147Y Two-Pack

This two-pack of W1470Y cartridges at $481.57 is put together for an HP LaserJet Enterprise M635h in a lending operations area, where documentation is audited and downtime is noticed. One cartridge rated at 42,000 pages does the work; the second waits sealed, so a cartridge change is a pause of minutes, not a procurement event. The same bay accepts the family's other sizes — the 147X (W1470X) two-pack and the 147A (W1470A) two-pack — for fleets balancing cost against reach.

Your shipment leaves from whichever of our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA is nearest to you, with delivery windows described on the shipping & returns page. The rest of this family's range is filed under HP in the catalogue.
