Frequently Asked Questions

Our print volume spikes around grant deadlines. How does a two-pack help?

It removes the delivery from the critical path. One W1470Y cartridge goes into the machine and is rated at 42,000 pages; the second waits sealed in the office. When a reporting deadline lands and the working cartridge finally fades, the replacement is a short walk away instead of a courier's schedule.

What should we look at to confirm the cartridge is the right one?

The part number, full stop. It is printed on the label of the cartridge in the machine now and repeated on the supplies status page: W1470Y — the 147Y cartridge. Headquarters staff ordering for the office only need that code to get the purchase right.

How is the $481.57 made up?

It is the price of the pair: two black cartridges, each sealed in its own protective bag and carton. Nothing accompanies them and nothing else is required — the second cartridge is simply the first one's successor, bought at the same time.

Will the stored cartridge print well after sitting through a quiet quarter?

Yes. Toner is a dry powder sealed inside the cartridge; kept in its bag, upright and in ordinary office conditions, it does not age in any way that shows on paper. A cartridge installed after months in the cupboard lays down the same even coverage as a fresh delivery.

Describe the actual moment of changing it.

The top cover lifts open. The spent cartridge draws straight out of its bay. The new cartridge, given a gentle side-to-side rock and freed of its packing strip, slides in until it seats, and the cover comes down. The printer is back in service within minutes and asks for no setup afterwards.

What backing do we have if something is wrong with a cartridge?

A 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns stand behind each one, so a defective cartridge is exchanged or refunded. Our team is on hand to help Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST.

About This 147Y Two-Pack

This two-pack of W1470Y cartridges at $481.57 is arranged for an HP LaserJet Enterprise M611x at a nonprofit headquarters, where the year's printing concentrates into reporting seasons. With each cartridge rated at 42,000 pages and its successor already in the cupboard, a deadline week never turns into a supply negotiation. It is not tied to one model — the M611dn, M611n, M611x, M634h, M634z, M635h, M635z, M636fh and M636z each accept it. Not every site prints at this intensity — the platform also runs the 147X (W1470X) two-pack and the standard-capacity 147A (W1470A) two-pack.

We send orders from whichever of our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA lies closest to you; the shipping & returns page sets out the delivery detail. Everything else for this family is collected under HP in the catalogue.
