Frequently Asked Questions

How are the two cartridges in this pack meant to be staged?

Sequentially. The first goes into the machine; the second stays boxed as the office's standing reserve. Between them they cover a long stretch of transaction paperwork, and because the reserve is already on site, a low-toner warning during a closing rush is a five-minute errand rather than an order deadline.

What does the $481.57 cover, exactly?

Two black 147Y cartridges, each arriving sealed in its own protective bag and carton. There is nothing else to purchase alongside them — no separate drum or kit — and each cartridge is rated at 42,000 pages.

Our coordinators copy as much as they print. Does that change cartridge life?

It counts toward it. Copies draw on the same cartridge as prints, and so do faxes the machine receives; only scanning is free of toner use. In a transaction office the honest way to read the 42,000-page rating is as the budget for everything the machine puts on paper, copies included.

How does the office know a swap is approaching?

The machine reports its supply level on the control panel and in its status pages, and output itself gives notice — pages begin to fade evenly when the cartridge is nearly spent. Checking the gauge at the start of a heavy week keeps the timing in the office's hands.

Who on staff can perform the change?

Whoever is coordinating that day's closings. The top cover opens, the finished cartridge slides out, and the new one — rocked gently first, packing strip removed — pushes in until it seats. No tools, no service visit, and no settings need attention afterwards.

What assurance comes with the pack?

Both cartridges are covered by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, so a defective unit is replaced or refunded. Our team can help with anything else Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST.

About This 147Y Two-Pack

For a brokerage satellite office running an HP LaserJet Enterprise Flow M634z, this two-pack pairs a working W1470Y cartridge (part number W1470Y, the 147Y cartridge) with its sealed successor at $481.57. It is the format for offices without a supply room or a facilities team — depth of two, chosen once, and closings never wait on toner. One cartridge, nine fits: the M611dn, M611n, M611x, M634h, M634z, M635h, M635z, M636fh and M636z. The family is tiered for different appetites: the same machines also take the high-yield 147X (W1470X) two-pack and the standard 147A (W1470A) two-pack, where this unit's full reach is not needed.

Orders are sent from the nearest of our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA; consult the shipping & returns page for how delivery timing works. Everything else in this family is gathered under HP.
