How many pages does the T902XL120 print?

Up to 5,000 pages, Epson's published rating for the genuine pack on the ISO/IEC 24711 pattern. Actual yield depends on coverage — text documents track the rating most closely.

Is this a cartridge or an ink pack?

An ink pack. The WF-C5210 family uses Epson's Replaceable Ink Pack System (RIPS): the pack sits in a tray in the printer, and the PrecisionCore printhead stays in the machine. There is no cartridge version of this printer's ink.

Where does the XL sit in the 902 ladder?

In the middle: standard 902 packs rate 3,000 pages, XL packs 5,000, and a black-only XXL pack (T902XXL120) rates 10,000. Clever Supplies sells the XL tier, which is where the compatible ladder is built.

Which printers take it?

Four models only: WorkForce Pro WF-C5210, WF-C5290, WF-C5710 and WF-C5790. It does not fit the WF-C4310 or WF-C4810 (those take 924 cartridges), nor the WF-C529R or WF-C579R (those take T01C/T01D packs).

Does the pack have a chip?

Yes — a new compatible chip that reports ink levels to the printer. The green chip on the pack should not be touched during installation, per Epson's own handling guidance for these packs.

My printer says the pack is not recognised. What now?

This pack carries a new compatible chip. If your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur. Power off, remove the pack, check the chip contacts are clean, reseat it until the tray clicks, and power back on. If the warning persists, contact us — the lifetime warranty covers the pack.

Can I mix this XL black with standard-capacity colour packs?

Yes. Each position is independent; XL and standard packs mix freely in the same printer. Our colours are XL (5,000 pages each), but a standard colour pack already installed works alongside this black.

How much ink is in the pack, in millilitres?

We do not publish a figure: Epson does not state a millilitre volume for the 902 packs in its official documentation, so the Volume field is left blank rather than filled with a reseller's claim. The verifiable figure is the 5,000-page ISO yield.

Is it a genuine Epson pack?

No — it is a Clever Supplies compatible built to the T902XL120 specification and labelled compatible on the box and this page. It is not manufactured by Epson.

What does the lifetime warranty cover?

A pack that fails to perform — not recognised after troubleshooting, leaking, or printing poorly from new — is replaced under the lifetime warranty. Free returns apply within the first year.

Why do all four XL colours rate the same 5,000 pages?

That is Epson's own rating shape for this family: black and colours are equal at both the standard tier (3,000 each) and the XL tier (5,000 each). It differs from cartridge families where black outrates the colours.
