Frequently Asked Questions

Which printers does this cyan fit?

All 31 verified 69-family models — every Stylus CX, NX and N11 model on the platform, the Stylus C120, and all nine WorkForce models (30, 40, 310, 315, 500, 600, 610, 615, 1100). The color cartridges have no model exceptions in this family.

How many pages does the cyan print?

Up to 350 pages, on Epson's published rating for the genuine T069220-S. Epson's data sheet gives the figure without an ISO citation, so we reproduce it as published and claim no standard of our own.

Is the cyan ink pigment or dye?

Pigment. Every position in the 69 family is DURABrite Ultra pigment ink — the colors as well as the black — so color prints get the same fast-drying, smudge-resistant character as text.

Does it have a chip? Will my printer recognize it?

It carries a new compatible chip. This cartridge carries a new compatible chip. If your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur with compatible cartridges of this generation — reseating the cartridge resolves most cases, and if it doesn't, contact us: the cartridge is covered by our lifetime warranty and 1-year free returns. We don't claim guaranteed recognition; we stand behind the cartridge instead.

My cyan ran out but the other colors are fine. Do I need a set?

No. This platform uses four individual cartridges precisely so each color is replaced on its own. Buy this single; the Set of 4 only makes sense when several slots are low at once or you want a full reset.

What is the difference between this and the 88 cyan?

The 88 (T088220) is the moderate-capacity sibling of this family — a smaller fill for a subset of these printers. Some models here (the NX510 and NX515, for instance) don't accept the 88 at all, while the 69 is their standard cartridge. Match the code your printer lists: T069220 is this one.

Will this fit a Stylus CX4400?

No — and this is a common wrong order. The CX4400 and CX4450 are not in the 69 family at all; they take only the 88 family. No 69 cartridge, this one included, belongs in them.

It fits my C120, but the black you sell doesn't. Why?

Because the C120 splits its shelf: colors are 69 cartridges (this cyan is correct for it), while its black is the high-capacity 68. Epson built that model that way; our listings follow its spec rather than selling you a black that won't serve.

Colors look slightly off right after a cartridge change. Is the cartridge faulty?

Usually not. A printer that sat with an empty or near-empty color often needs a head-cleaning cycle or two from its maintenance menu to pull fresh ink through and restore the mix. If colors stay wrong after cleaning, contact us — the lifetime warranty covers a cartridge that genuinely underperforms.

Is this a genuine Epson cartridge?

No — this is a Clever Supplies compatible cartridge, built to the genuine cartridge's specification and labeled compatible on the box and on this page. It is not manufactured by Epson.

How do I store a spare cyan?

Sealed, upright, at room temperature and out of direct sunlight, away from heat sources.

Warranty and returns?

Lifetime warranty: a cartridge that fails to perform is replaced. Free returns within the first year.
